Unlike its [[Re-imagined Series|re-imagined successor]], a definitive number of survivors is never provided; however, losses and gains in population can be provided from aired content.

Based on the available data below, there has been an overall net loss of seven people between the post-[[Carillon]] end of "[[Saga of a Star World]]" and the final act of the series finale, "[[The Hand of God (TOS)|The Hand of God]]".
