After bringing the [[sheriff]] out to the field at night, he apologizes for not believing Willie, despite the fact that the Vipers left the meadow just as they arrived with a police officer ([[Galactica Discovers Earth, Part II]]).<br /> <br /> When the Vipers later reappear in the meadow, Walt instead calls the United States Air Force, which removes the ships from the field to the [[Van Nuys A.N.G. Base]].
