General Policy

In the past, there are people who believe that contributors to the Wiki -- high profile contributors, for example -- officially represent the Wiki itself. While contributors are an integral part of the Wiki, this is not the case. Therefore, this is a policy to codify that no one person may speak for the Wiki, unless:

  1. a group of people agree to an action;
  2. and the person chosen to represent the Wiki is agreed-upon by consensus, which is 85% of all people who participate in the discussion.

The person chosen to represent the Wiki should be someone who is honest, has integrity, is respectful, and is viewed by his or her peers as a model contributor to the Wiki. Representatives should be versed in the current atmosphere of the Wiki, as well as versed in how the Wiki operates.

Also, once a representative is chosen, the representative may not deviate from that which has been agreed upon, for whatever reason.

It is to be noted that Joe Beaudoin Jr. reserves the right to officially represent the wiki, but will only use such power under extreme circumstances. fr:Battlestar Wiki:Représentation officielle
