Metron bomb

A metron bomb is a weapon used by the Cylons.

In attempting to discover oddities in Specter's command of the Attila garrison, Lucifer discovers that Specter has ordered more of these weapons than any other garrison in the system (The Young Lords).

Notes

• The device's name is reminiscent of the neutron bomb, a tactical nuclear weapon designed to kill people through an intense neutron radiation burst with a reduced level of property damage. This controversial device was a popular topic during the Original Series production, which occured in the Carter presidential administration in 1978.
