Basestar

A basestar (also known as a "baseship") is a capital Cylon warship that combines the functions of aircraft carrier and battleship. It is the primary adversary and counterpart of a Colonial battlestar.

• In the Original Series, the Colonial battlestar is also referred to as a "base ship". Likewise, basestars are also referred to as a "Cylon battlestar" (TOS: "Saga of a Star World").
