Observations

I know I should follow the encouragement of being bold, but I have insecurities that hinder me at every opportunity. Anyway, I noticed a couple of things: when Daniel is downloading his daughter into the C.Y.L.O.N., the onscreen material reminds me of the data-font (or maybe some other Cylonic tech that I can't specify at the moment). Also, and probably the most screaming of things, is that the Greystone home looks an awful like Baltar's home prior to the Fall. Are these things worth noting, even baring in mind there are no official statements (that I'm aware of) to confirm the visual links? The thing about the house seems most likely given both the residences on Caprica as well as the intellectual prestige of the two individuals. Yes, or "no," as in I'm alone in on this? --Mars 14:02, 29 April 2009 (UTC)

It's probably the same set, like the V-Club and the Opera House. -- Noneofyourbusiness 16:57, 29 April 2009 (UTC)

Chambers's Eye Glasses

Was Minister Chambers wearing Eldon Tyrell's glasses (from Blade Runner) or did they just look very similar? Adamrice 17:10, 20 February 2010 (UTC)

As far as I know, he wasn't wearing Tyrell's glasses, but they certainly look similar. -- Joe Beaudoin So say we all - Donate - Battlestar Pegasus 18:18, 20 February 2010 (UTC)
The commentary confirms that Chambers' glasses were a deliberate reference to Tyrell in Blade Runner. —Josiah Rowe 03:36, 21 February 2010 (UTC)

Request for Expansion of Plot Summary

I didn't know that requests for expansion are normally accompanied with requests in the Discussion section--sorry! Anyway, the summary should probably be comparable in length and detail to part 1 or part 2 of the Miniseries, each of which was the same length as the Caprica pilot. I'm not sure when I can contribute myself, but I will when I get the chance. --BlueResistance 17:32, 4 July 2009 (UTC)

No worries. I've been meaning to do this myself. Still, whoever wants to start is welcome to do so. -- Joe Beaudoin So say we all - Donate - Battlestar Pegasus 18:19, 4 July 2009 (UTC)

I put in the first summary details through the subway explosion, formatted according to established standards--others are more than welcome to continue the work! For now, I put in subheadings such as "Two Familes Ripped Apart" since it's not clear where the act breaks will be from the DVD. Once the pilot airs, these can be replaced with "Teaser," "Act 1," etc. --BlueResistance 03:55, 26 August 2009 (UTC)

I may jump in soon as I own the thing now but haven't watched it. I'm wondering, too, if we should change the name of the article to "Caprica (pilot episode)". -Spencerian 22:04, 27 August 2009 (UTC)
Probably a good idea to rename it, in keeping with our conventions. -- Joe Beaudoin So say we all - Donate - Battlestar Pegasus 22:46, 27 August 2009 (UTC)
While the subject has been risen, I thought I'd chime in and say that I'm partial to naming it "Pilot" in the way we refer to the Battlestar Galactica miniseries as just Miniseries, such as [[Pilot (Caprica episode)]] or maybe even just [[Pilot (Caprica)]]. Though, I think something a little more definite of a title will be provided on schedules when the series premiere looms enough nearby for it to be listed. --Mars 20:35, 28 August 2009 (UTC)
