Major Stockwell is a B-17 pilot who encounters Troy, Jamie Hamilton, and Dillon after his plane is shot down over Nazi Germany.

Stockwell's mission, to sabotage a V-2 rocket on a rocket base in Peenemünde, is complicated when Jewish prisoners are found, who are destined for a deadly concentration camp named Auschwitz.

Stockwell aids the Colonial team in freeing the prisoners, but not before the Colonials accomplish his mission by destroying the V-2 rocket.

Stockwell is saddened when the Colonial team, particularly Jamie Hamilton, must return to their point of origin (Galactica Discovers Earth, Part II and III).

In the novelization by Michael Resnick, this character is named Colonel John H. Guidry. Having little respect for the French military leader Charles de Gaulle, he manages to fly into German airspace using a Mosquito bomber with English markings up until he is shot down 6 miles from Obersalzberg, crashing in te nearby Bavarian forest.[1].

Having been saved by Troy, Dillon and Jamie Hamilton, he is very mistrusting of the trio, and is still unsure what to make of them even after they successfully destroy the V2 prototype rocket. However, before leaving, Jamie Hamilton scratches "Watergate, 1972" into Guidry's dog-tags, letting him know that they are time travelers without outright saying so.[2]
