Gorgons are creatures within the mythology that surrounds the Colonials' polytheistic religion.

In his blaspheming rant in a temple on Galactica, Gaius Baltar points out the fact that Asclepius's demise was brought about by the blood of a Gorgon (Escape Velocity).

Notes

• In Greek mythology, Gorgons were dangerous female monsters whose gaze turns a person to stone. Medusa was one of them.
