Ithaca is a place or subculture within the Twelve Colonies.

Caprica-Six asks the recovered Sharon "Boomer" Valerii if a pair of handcarved wood elephants she had in her apartment were of Ithacan origin (TRS: "Downloaded").

• Ithaca is an island in Greece. According to Greek myth, it is thought to be the home of Odysseus.
• Ithaca is also the name of the city in central New York State that serves as the home of the Ivy League school Cornell University's main campus. Executive producer Ronald Moore attended Cornell as an undergraduate student, although he did not complete his degree program.
