Judith Chapman (born November 15, 1945) is the American actress who portrayed Angela in the Galactica 1980 episode "The Return of Starbuck". She is best known for her various roles in long running daytime American soap operas such as As the World Turns, General Hospital, and Days of Our Lives.

Born in Greenville, South Carolina, Chapman was the daughter of an United States Air Force general and thus spent most of her life outside the United States.

While in Spain during her teenage years, she became interested in and pursued her career in acting. Her initial forays into acting included commercials and the "Spaghetti Western". She later moved back to the United States, obtaining a degree in theater at the Stephens College. After graduating, she moved to New York City, acting in stage productions and joining the Actor's Studio.[1]

Outside of her various roles in daytime soap operas, she has worked extensively in various Glen A. Larson productions including BJ and the Bear, Buck Rogers in the 25th Century, The Misadventures of Sheriff Lobo, Magnum, Knight Rider, and The Fall Guy. [1] In 1986, she was nominated for "Outstanding Actress in a Lead Role" by Soap Opera Digest.

During a hiatus from acting, she taught at the College of the Desert in Palm Desert, California for several semesters, but later returned to acting and began a stint as a director as well.[1]

She presently resides in Palm Springs, California with her life partner, James.[1] In addition, she is presently playing the role of Gloria Fisher Abbot in The Young and the Restless, a role she had since 2005.
